As you may be aware, at the end of August this year I hit the big 40!

To "celebrate" this milestone myself and a friend, Diane, have set ourselves the challenge of completing the Pink Ribbonride at Blenheim Palace.  This is a cycle marathon (26.2 miles) through the beautiful Cotswolds starting and finishing at Blenheim Palace.

The Pink Ribbonride raises money for Breast Cancer Care's work supporting those affected by breast cancer across the UK.  Breast Cancer is a disease that continues to affect the lives of too many people that I know and I hope that the money that I raise will go some way to offering support to those people.

The challenge for me has been getiing on to a bike after 10 years and getting my "frame" up some rather steep North Oxfordshire hills.  Anyway, I have discovered a love of cycling in the process and even shed a few pounds........
