Logan Huxtable needs your help!

Logan · 9 April 2014
Logan was born with a condition called Plagiocephaly, which in short means that he has a partial flattening of the head which gives a slightly distorted look to the head shape which can cause misalignment of the ears and eyes. Any misalignment of the skull may in severe cases (such as Logan's) contribute to jaw and dental problems and the negative psychological effects of teasing and bullying in Logan's formative years.
Treatment for this is by use of a specially designed helmet that allows the baby's head to round out. They are individually moulded to the baby's exact head shape and are worn for 23 hours a day. The helmet fits snugly to the unaffected area and leaves space for the flat spot so that any growth is channelled into the area which needs to 'round out'
Remarkably, this treatment is not available on the NHS, which means that we must self- fund Logan's treatment which will cost us £2000 - a huge blow to us.
By helping us to raise any funds, no matter how little a contribution you can make, this means that Logan can have his treatment and we can go on to know that we did right by him. Headstart4babies is an incredible charity who supports many families like ours, who need help, guidance and support and we wish to donate some of our proceeds to them and *IF* we are fortunate enough to raise enough money for Logan's helmet in the next 3 months, any extra contributions will go straight to this amazing charity.
Thank you for visiting Logan's page and learning a little more about his condition.
