My mum Pauline Hussey was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer when she was 41 - the same age I’ll be when I run this marathon. She died within 6 months of diagnosis. And yet over 20 years later Pancreatic cancer is still the toughest cancer to diagnose, treat and survive. 1 in 4 people won’t survive a month. 3 in 4 won’t survive for a year. It kills everyone, rich or poor - Steve Jobs and Patrick Swayze both died from this horrible disease as well. There is no effective treatment.
