At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever. Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.

Quite simply my mother has Lewy Body dementia and has experienced some scary visual hallucinations. She also loves walking, but due to this condition she can no longer walk without aid and assistance.

Her medication which helped slow down the dementia process was always going to give way to dementia taking a hold. Unfortunately, we are now in that phase.

I was originally doing this event in 2021, but due COVID, me having a dust up with COVID and after effects, I am now undertaking the event this September 2023.

Therefore, the least I can do, is try and raise funds for this charity.

I very much appreciate your support.
