The Big Half 2018 · 4 March 2018 ·

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On Sunday 4th March 2018, supported by my lovely and very tolerant husband Chris (and accompanied by a group of friends made through the combined magic of running and Facebook) I will be running the London Big Half in memory of my Dad Peter, who endured dementia for seven years before passing away in 2014.

I'm raising money for an organisation who not only fight to support families affected by dementia,  but are actively researching treatments and cures for this debilitating condition

Dad was, amongst other things (businessman, entrepreneur, sports fan, wearer of appalling shirts & trousers, as well as being BBQ King) quite partial to "a bit of a jog" and I think he'd have been pleased that I've decided to have this little adventure in his name. This one's for you, Pete! 😉x
