London Marathon 2017 · 23 April 2017 ·

We believe every moment matters so we go above and beyond to help our patients and their families make the most of every moment they have left. All our services are free of charge. We receive 33% of our funding from the NHS and rely on donations to raise the extra £13m we need each year.

Story

Hey everyone, and thank you for even getting this far onto my page.

I originally wanted to run a marathon because, like alot of people, I simply wanted to see if I could or not.
Since starting to run more, I quickly discovered that there is no way I could run this distance without a cause, and it needed to be something I really believe in.

As most of you probably know, I work as a nurse in Trinity Hospice, so I can say with all confidence that it's a place that really deserves and needs whatever money you can all spare. At work, we take care of people young and old who are terminally ill and dying, and it's largely because of charitable donations that we have the resources to make them comfortable, give them dignity and bring them some joy in an otherwise incredibly challenging situation.

If you can't give right now, don't worry, but please do come back at a time when you can. I will be circulating this page a great deal before April when the Marathon actually takes place. And please know that all donations, big or small are going to a brilliant cause, and are deeply appreciated by myself, you're all excellent!

Thank you!!
An already tired Louisa
