Story
I have always had pets: cats, dogs, horses, rabbits - I had my first kitten when I was only six. There were always around six cats in our household at any one time. Why cats? Well, cats are smart, funny, beautiful, loving... they become part of the family. They are all different and all have their own character.
I work full time, but wanted to do something meaningful with the spare time I do have (when I am not looking after my own cats and two teenagers!) When I saw that Cats Protection were looking for volunteers, I knew this was something I wanted to do. At first I thought: can I do this? Have I the time? But I love it. I'm very busy now but I don't mind at all: It's all for the cats; helping cats find loving homes, educating people about cat welfare, neutering to reduce the numbers of unwanted kittens.
Just a small amount of money can really help us: £5 to microchip one cat, just 20p a day feeds one cat in Cats Protection care.
Many thanks for your donations.
Lou
