Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I have been convinced that walking up the UK's highest mountain, in the dark, on my husbands Birthday (While he stays at home & looks after our baby) is a good idea!
Most people that I have told about this have either laughed or thought the email I sent out asking for donations was spam!! That gives you a bit of background about my level of fitness.....
My training since I agreed to do this challenge, up until about two weeks ago consisted of -
1) shopping to buy walking boots (They are very ugly...I think I deserve sponsorship just for wearing them).
2) shopping to buy a waterproof jacket (equally as ugly but I have used it already to walk the dog so feel as though it was a worthwhile purchase).
3) Walking the dog.
4) Having a rest after all of the shopping & dog walking.
But In the past couple of weeks I have joined a gym!! and I have gone to said Gym...I have also completed a wall climbing course and plan to do lots & lots more training (especially walking up Hills) before August 29th comes round.
It would be an understatment to say that I am going to find this challenge hard. (My main concern being I may have an Asthma attack at the top of the mountain and have to be air lifted down). But I am going to train hard and raise as much money as I can for a very worth while charity.
So...this is NOT a joke I am ACTUALLY going to walk up Ben Nevis and would really, really like you to sponsor me.
Many thanks x x x x
