Story

We're taking part in Race The Thames Virtual 2022 - join us to bust the winter blues!

Love Rowing is delighted to support Race The Thames  - the annual fundraising event run by London Youth Rowing (LYR).

The money raised will be used for two amazing charities.

The funds will be used to help support LYR's work in London and Leeds. LYR's programmes allow young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to take part in rowing, giving them the benefit of participating in the sport and allowing them to fulfil their potential.

We will also be supporting Love Rowing - British Rowing's Charitable Foundation, on a mission to bring underrepresented communities into the sport of rowing. The funds raised will go towards coaching costs for state school projects (run by rowing clubs) for children in some of the most disadvantaged areas of the UK.

LYR is a groundbreaking sports charity, which aims to develop young people through physical activity and open access to rowing at all levels. We work with over 50 schools in the London area, and 20 in Leeds. Last year over 5,500 participants took part in our programmes.
