North Staffs Mind supports adults, children and young people across North Staffordshire who are affected by a mental health problem. We are an independent local charity offering information and a wide range of mental health services.

Story

North Staffs Mind is a mental health charity supporting adults, children, and young people, giving them opportunities to access high quality services that can make a difference.

This year, we are raising money again for the invaluable Mindzone drop-in service. Mindzone has changed the lives of over 500 local young people since its start in 2008.

We are here to help young people develop, explore, and grow in positive ways, and support them in empowering themselves to create a better life for themselves. Please join us in continuing to promote and protect good mental health for all young people across Staffordshire.

MindZone is a unique self-development service where we create a safe, supportive, and confidential environment for young people between the ages of 11 and 19. At Mindzone, we run workshops around mental health and emotional well-being, and offer immediate drop-in one-on-one counselling services to any young people in distress.

The MindZone workshops have been created to provide psychoeducation in an interactive and growth-promoting manner, and have been tailored to best suit the needs of young people in our society today. We explore concepts such as anxiety, anger, bullying, self-esteem, leadership, thoughts values and beliefs, self-harm, depression, positive mental health, suicidal ideation, relationships, self-care, etc. We create a space in which young people can come together in small groups and safely discuss issues that are pertinent to them in a confidential and boundaried manner, learn about themselves, explore current issues, and get the support they need.
