Inca Trek · 13 August 2014

We conduct world class medical research projects. We diagnose and treat thousands of people with epilepsy every year. We do this and much more. We are the UK’s national medical epilepsy charity. With Epilepsy Society, you don’t have to deal with epilepsy alone.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In August next year I will be undertaking a challenging Trek in the Andes mountians in Peru, following Inca Trails to the legendary ruins of Machu Picchu, all to raise money for the amazing charity that is the Epilepsy Society!

I have a huge target to reach, but hopefully with the help of you and many others it will be acheived!

The Trek will consist of 6 consecutive days of walking, sometimes at altitudes above 4000m (13,000ft)! This makes the Trek all the more challening due to the adverse affects altitude has on the human body.

Epilepsy is a very serious neurological condition which tends to cause seizures originating in the brain. It affects people worldwide (600,000 in the UK alone) and is most prevalent in children or 65+ year olds. 87 people are diagnosed with Epilepsy every day.

The money you donate will go towards innovative research, treatments and support to help sufferers cope with the daily complications of being diagnosed and living with a scary and overwhelming condition.

So please any donations will be greatly appreciated, this charity needs your help to continue doing an amazing job. My effort means nothing without your support towards my epic fundraising mission.

Thank you,

Lucas
