We work to support HAE patients in the UK & to raise awareness of our rare condition

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We are running for HAEUK because they are one of the charities we promote for supporting our patients under the Clinical Immunology Service at Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust.

Hereditary Angioedema (HAE) is a genetic inherited condition causing sometimes life threatening swellings which can affect many parts of the body including the tongue and throat.

Our patients need urgent medication and emergency care during an attack of swelling and have tailored management plans devised to help them manage their condition with our support.

We rely on HAEUK to help our patients by providing further patient information regarding HAE, resources, support (including organising patient support events across the UK). At patient support events our patients have the opportunity to meet others with the same condition and learn more about HAE.
