Neuroendocrine Cancer UK exists to support and inform patients and families from diagnosis, enabling access to the best care and treatment, whilst stimulating Neuroendocrine Cancer research, increasing national awareness, and influencing improvements in outcomes.

Story

To raise money for the UK’s only neuroendocrine cancer charityI am climbing Mount Snowdon (the highest mountain in Wales) on 15 October 2016... at midnight.

Neuroendocrine cancer is a rare and often misdiagnosed cancer. As some of you may be aware, a very good friend of mine, Alastair (JJ), was diagnosed with terminal stage four neuroendocrine carcinoid cancer in early 2015. His brother and sister were also diagnosed with the same cancer in recent years. Thankfully, they are both now in remission.

Your donation will help the NET Patient Foundation to provide support and education to those affected by neuroendocrine cancer, advocate for neuroendocrine cancer patients, encourage standardised care, provide community support care, and raise funds for clinical research projects.

We have set a high fundraising target since this charity receives almost no funding in comparison to other, larger charities associated with more common cancers.  There will be updates with our funding raising progress and images from the ascent up Snowdon.

Thank you so much from me and the NET Snowdon Midnight Challenge Team!
