We foster and fund research to improve lives for people with nystagmus.

Story

On 13th July 2021 we were blessed with our daughter Maisie, this was the happiest time of our lives. I started to notice eye movements but thought that all babies did this as they struggle to focus. Our health visitor noticed this and urgently referred Maisie to an Ophthalmologist where she was given the diagnosis of Nystagmus. This is an incurable condition that is either a developmental issue of the brain or eye or the pathway between the 2. Maisie is due a lot of hospital appointments, which include an MRI, electro diagnostic tests, genetics tests and regular eye examinations. She has also been assigned a visual coach who will support her throughout her school life. Those who have met Maisie know she is a smiley, loving baby who is just full of life. She is the best gift we have ever received.

I love baking so I thought this would be the best thing to help raise money for this charity that help children like our daughter with research and support. There will be a bake sale on 1st May 2022 12-2 or can make some cakes to order for other weekends.

Made to order cakes include:

Lemon drizzle

Chocolate flapjack

Brownies

Millionaire shortbread

Marble cake
