We raise much-needed funds to help the wider Household Cavalry family

Story

I have set myself the personal challenge of racing in qualifier race on 28th August 2016 in Worthing for 2017 ETU Triathlon Olympic Distance Championship include 28push ups for 28 days started on 13rd August 2016 and I would like to take this opportunity to raise awareness and money for the Household Cavalry Foundation who do fantastic work in carrying for casualties, soldiers, veterans, heritage and horses of Household Cavalry.

Famous worldwide for both outstanding pageantry and gallantry on the battlefield, the same soldiers seen on parade on state occasions also risk their lives for our country on the front line.

All donations are used to support all the Household Cavalry family welfare requirements; which is particularly important now as we draw down our troops from Afghanistan and our thoughts turn to the future, where we need to be able to prepare for not just the physical injuries but the long term psychological injuries.

About the charity

The Household Cavalry Foundation raises much-needed funds to support the soldiers, casualties and veterans of the Household Cavalry, as well as their families and dependants. The HCF also cares for retired horses and helps to preserve the unique heritage of the British Army's most senior Regiments.
