“Christmas!”

on 25 December 2020

RNC is the UK's leading specialist FE college for young people who are blind/visually impaired. Delivering academic and vocational qualifications alongside life skills and independence training, the RNC experience is life-changing, eliminating barriers and enabling students to reach their potential.

Story

It's been a rum old year, eh?

In the time I've had the privilege to work at RNC I have seen our dedicated staff overcome countless obstacles to ensure that our life changing provision is available to young visually impaired people. I've also seen the incredible impact the College has on our students, and how much it means to them and their families.

Now, like everyone else, we've been battered by covid. We've lost charitable and commercial income, and it has cost a fortune to adapt to the new reality and to keep our staff and students safe.

Competition for donations has never been greater, at a time when it is vital that we increase our fundraising income to close the gap in the budget.

There is nothing I want or need for Christmas this year, and no gift would mean as much as your support for RNC. So , if you were even thinking of buying me a present, please consider making a donation instead. And , if you're eligible, tick the gift aid box, so your donation will be increased by 25% at no cost to you.

Thank you, and Happy Christmas.
