Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my just giving page. This will by my first ever marathon, I have decided to run it to raise funds for the vital work that action on pre-eclampsia undertakes.

Pregnancy, for the majority of mums the outcome is a happy mum/healthy baby, but this is not always the case. Around 1 in 10 pregnant women will be affected by pre-eclampsia, and, out of these, around 4 women and 1000 babies die every dear. It can be totally devastating for families and to date the only known “cure” is delivery of the placenta, but when the baby is so premature it can be life threatening

There is so little understanding of the condition, and this is why Action on pre-eclampsia continue to research and raise awareness to pregnant women and provide training to midwifes.

This condition could, quite literally, affect every single person either directly or indirectly, and this is why I am asking for your assistance to raise funds by sponsoring me to run the Virgin London Marathon 26th April 2020.

I would be so grateful if you would help me ❤
