Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

I signed up to run the Birmingham Marathon and then decided to raise money for the Mary Stevens Hospice. Ever since, I've been asked for 'my story'. To be perfectly honest, I don't really have a story. I'm incredibly fortunate in my life to have not lost anyone really close to me to an illness, and I've lived a happy and healthy life myself.

Because of this, I can't say I've ever had a charity that's close to my heart. Of course I've donated money and items to charity in the past, but that's not the same as putting yourself through physical strain and pushing yourself to your limits on the behalf of someone else. Someone else who has to go through that strain every day.

I'm raising money for the Mary Stevens Hospice because they do wonderful work every day and this really is a great cause. They help people who need it the most and running a 26 mile marathon is absolutely nothing compared to what some people in the world have to go through every day.

Please support in me helping the Mary Stevens Hospice by donating whatever you can.

Thank you,

Luke
