Pre - Bike Ride Analysis
On Saturday 1st April 2017 Gavin and I will cycle from Hayes to Paddington and back using the Grand Union Canal, a total distance of over 26 miles.
Gavin and I are doing this in a bid to raise funds for a special fund at the Hillingdon AIDS Response Trust (HART).
HIV Aids is a cause very close to my heart, since the 1980s I have been witness to its devastating effect on my country, community, close friends, and loved ones.
I wholeheartedly support HART which is working towards a world where the incidence of HIV is reduced, it is simply a manageable health condition, with no associated stigma and people are empowered to manage their own lives.
The 26 miles there and back will be a long journey; at least we won't have to worry about cars and other road traffic. Your support will be very much appreciated! I hope it will be a nice, bright, dry, and puncture-free day, but that unfortunately cannot be guaranteed.
Your donations will make a huge difference to this amazing Charity that is still going after 25 years! To read about their wonderful work please visit http://www.hart-hiv.org.uk/
HART operates a Special Fund, for the direct benefit of his clients, not for salaries, overheads or general running costs, but purely to provide therapies, social events and support direct to clients at times of hardship. All proceeds from the bike ride will go into the Special Fund.
