Lynda's Go Sober for October Challenge. Please read my story

Go Sober for October · 1 October 2018
This October I plan to challenge myself to not only ‘Go Sober for October'
I will also complete 31 push ups for 31 days.
Then on 31st October I will complete a 30 mile walk/run to deliver the amount we have raised for research and to help buy some time for the people suffering this awful disease.
This for my wonderful Nephew Shaun and family this is his story told by his amazing wife;
A year ago Shaun had his first seizure that ultimately lead to the diagnosis of Glioblastoma Multiforme , a grade 4 highly aggressive brain tumour. We close to him realised how much of a shit storm this would be, it is horrific and relentless. It grinds you down and we are frightened and angry about what has been taken from us and what the future has in store. With such great advances in the treatment of many other cancers people are living longer and better with their diagnosise. Unfortunately the standard treatment for GBM is the same today as it was 20 years ago and so results are also poor. The positioning of these tumours within the brain also mean that other parts of the body and their functions are affected, resulting in many deficits such as paralysis, sight issues, seizures, personality changes, continance problems, the list goes on and on.
Brain tumour research desperately needs more funding, more advances if life quality and prognosis rates are to improve, even better if this could be done quickly so Shaun could benefit. I hope that he is one of the lucky ones and that he has years and years left, he is so loved and it hurts so much
