My big brother Iain died due to an aggressive brain tumour 14 years ago this week. On the 4th February 2024 he would have been 50 years old. It therefore seems fitting to take part in an event raising money for Christie hospital on that same weekend and Christie’s Night of Neon seems the right place to celebrate what he meant and continues to mean to me.  I can’t tell you how much I miss him - a sibling sits in a completely different space in your life to anyone else, they’ve known you forever, from a totally different perspective to your parents, they are the only person who knows exactly where you’ve come from.

I know money is tight for people and I’m aware this isn’t the greatest challenge so I’m working on a plan to increase the difficulty (and / or embarrassment factor) and make it something worth sponsoring us for (because Ant, Nico and Leo are coming along too). But it had to be this because it had to be the Christie and it had to be his big birthday weekend. So if you can give anything no matter how small we’d be delighted.
