Metro Bank Sheffield UK to Sheffield USA Challenge

Fundraising for Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice
£610
raised of £500 target
We care for children with shortened lives to support them and their families.

Story

Metro Bank employees of the Sheffield branch are going to attempt to walk/Run/Cycle/Swim or any other form of exercise the distance from Sheffield UK to Sheffield in Massachusetts in the USA for the whole month of May. The distance is 3279 miles, yes we know this is far! But we believe if a challenge is worth doing it's worth doing right! It will be a hard challenge but here at Metro Bank we are all dedicated to raising money for charities and helping our local community. So please help us raise money, spread the word and most of all improve lives of children and young adults from our epic challenge.

We will be raising money for Bluebell wood children's hospice who care for children and young adults whose lives are sadly just too short, both in their own homes and at our hospice in North Anston in Sheffield. Every day bluebell wood need to raise almost £14,000 to keep our doors open, and only around 15% of our funding is from the government. So all the help you can give will help keep a great cause alive and give great memories to children.

About the charity

At Bluebell Wood, we care for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions. We support hundreds of families, both in our hospice and in family homes. It costs around £6.5m to keep our doors open for families across South Yorkshire and beyond. We receive 16% Statutory funding.
