At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Thank you for sponsoring me to take part in this year's Memory Walk. I'm walking for a world without dementia in memory of my granddad Terry, who died eight years ago after living with dementia for six years. I'm also walking for my gran Margaret, who is living with a form of dementia right now. Her dementia is completely different from my granddad's, showing how complex this disease is.

Terry's Two consists of me and my mum Jan, as this charity is very personal to the pair of us.

Today, around 225,000 people develop dementia every year – that’s the equivalent to one person every three minutes.I want to help change that statistic, and i hope one day dementia will be a thing of the past.

Every pound you donate will bring us closer to a world without dementia. You are making a huge difference.

Thank you
