Story
Hello and thank you for visiting Macclesfield RNLI's Justgiving page.
Unfortunately, all our events in Macclesfield have been cancelled this year due to Coronavirus but the RNLI has managed to maintain a 24/7 service every day since lockdown began. Our brave crews and lifeguards have still been launching and saving people in trouble on the water, even though we haven’t been able to fundraise.
Running a world-class service like the RNLI doesn’t come cheap and, as you can imagine, our income has been drastically reduced this year. To ensure our crews and lifeguards have the funds they need to keep saving lives, we're taking an event online this year.
Instead of doing our usual events, we invite you to pay a virtual visit to one or more of our Lifeboat Stations
There are 238 Lifeboat Stations around the UK & Ireland, including some on the River Thames. If we could raise £5 for every station, that would equal the £1,190 we're trying to raise.
You could visit as many or as few as you like, and maybe theme your visits eg, a certain county, or Island or places you have, (or haven’t) visited on holiday.
All that we ask is that you consider giving a donation for each station visited, and let us know, in the comments section, where you have virtually been.
Details of the different stations can be found by following this link

You can't go inside every lifeboat station but click here to see what the inside of a lifeboat station looks like!

Everybody is welcome and please give as much or as little as you can to keep our crews safe and equipped.
