Devizes to Westminster International Canoe Race · 4 April 2015

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

They're at it again!

Ian & Jacky Macqueen will once again take on the incredible challenge that is the 125-mile Devizes to Westminster Canoe Race, in 24 hours, with no rests, no sleep and running only on energy gels, peanut butter sandwiches and chocolate brownies!

This year they are raising money for the Alzheimer's Society, in memory of the late Sir Terry Pratchett, and in honour of the Devizes Alzheimer's Support Whippets (Wiltshire), Higby and Dave!

Please dig deep, and think of them (and their loyal-to-the-point-of-madness family and friends) when you're snuggled up in bed at 6am on Easter Sunday: we'll have all been awake for 25 hours by then...
