Event: Brighton Marathon 2017, on 9 April 2017
We fund vital medical equipment and support to improve life for sick children in Sussex

Story

I was inspired to take on the Brighton Marathon, by hearing the incredible work done by Rockinghorse. The charity is local, so it is one I already knew of, but they have recently become the charity partner of the company I work for, MailServe.
After hearing about a trip some of my colleagues took to The Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital, we were all thinking of ways which we could help, and I felt compelled to do my bit. Although I have done marathons before, this will be my 3rd, it is the first in over 4 years. So for me, it will be a huge accomplishment.

Being a parent myself, seeing what the children and families who benefit from Rockinghorse go through hit me hard, I felt I had to do something; and a marathon felt a daunting enough task to raise as much as possible.

Please do give what you can to Rockinghorse, as their cause is so worthwhile.

About the charity

Rockinghorse is a Brighton-based charity which has been supporting children for over 50 years. It was set up in 1967 by Dr Trevor Mann to improve healthcare services for sick children and babies. The charity fundraises for items for every child's treatment, from toys to life-saving equipment.
