Cycling from Lands End to John O'Groats

It has long been an ambition of mine to undertake the above and in helping me make the decision to ‘Go For It’ I have a dear friend in Bridget Huggett who is going to join me on this exciting journey starting August 30th!  -  Help! It's almost here!!

We will be ‘just the two of us’ and completely unsupported which, I imagine will be extremely challenging to say the least! 
However, our driving force will be to raise money for two charities that
work tirelessly for their cause.

Bridget has chosen Cancer Research UK as her charity and has set up her Just Giving page.

My nominated charity will be Diabetes UK as my daughter Rachael was diagnosed with the Life changing condition Type 1 diabetes – seventeen years ago.  A punishing condition which relies on the correct insulin injections four times a day, every day in an endeavour to achieve the right fuel for energy.

Bridget and I are training regularly for this adventure and with each hill we conquer we feel we're one step closer to our goal.  We Can do it and We Will!!  Cant wait to get to John O' Groats - I think there'll be a few high fives (and tears no doubt!)
