On 20th March 2005, I gave birth to my third son, little Archie Felix. Three weeks later, he was hospitalised with bacterial meningitis. Archie was one of the lucky ones - he survived physically unscathed. He'll be turning 12 this year and is working hard to overcome the difficulties left behind by his illness.

A lad from Jamie and Archie's school is currently in a coma following meningitis several weeks ago.

I am running my first half marathon and my first marathon this year - a massive thing for a person who was always picked last for sports at school and has always been a "non-runner". Please sponsor my efforts, I promise you it won't be easy but fundraising for this worthy charity and for my lovely lad will make it worthwhile.
