We offer hope to families to transform the lives of sick children

Story

I’m running the London Marathon to raise funds for Winnie.

Winnie had to be resuscitated at birth and several times within her first 24 hours. She is completely blind, unable to walk or talk and unable to hold her head up for more than a few minutes. However she is bright and intelligent, loves to be to read to, to listen to music and being outside.

Winnie was diagnosed with a variation of the CDK8 gene last year. And funds raised here will help to buy equipment and therapy for Winnie to help her communicate and gain more strength and movement.

Physio has done her the world of good, she initially couldn’t move half of her body and now she can, as well as wiggling and rolling around. She loves being outdoors and needs a new off-road wheelchair, and there is hope to get Winnie an auditory scanning device so she can better communicate, but she needs a lot of therapy to be able to get to the point of using it.

Any donation will help Winnie gain a better life, so please be generous and donate!
