London Marathon 2022 · 2 October 2022 ·
I've wanted to run the London Marathon for years; even before I was a 'proper runner'!
After years of missing out on the ballot, I decided this was the year, and if I didn't get in through the ballot, then I'd take on a charity place, which is exactly what I've done!
When thinking about a charity place, the Salvation Army was always the obvious choice. It's a charity (and of course a church) that has really shaped who I am as a person.
I'll also be quite literally following in the footsteps of my Dad, Mum and sister who have all run the London Marathon for the Salvation Army before. And... I CANNOT WAIT!
The specific project that my fundraising is going towards is a Local Salvation Army project in Preston. Preston Corps is raising money to be a part of the Home Office Community Sponsorship scheme, and resettle refugees right here in Preston. Let me know if you want to know more.
