Former Head Coach of the South Wales Rebellion, South Wales Sharks and South Wales Warriors, Marcus Price, was a huge impact on and off the field to many of the players under his coaching.

Sadly, in 2009 Coach Marcus passed away and since then I had always vowed to organise a football tournament in his name to celebrate his life and the impact he had on those around him and raise money for Velindre Cancer centre; the hospital that looked after him before he passed away.

In 2014 I was able to successfully hold the first Marcus Price Memorial Tournament with great success. We had a great turnout, saw some amazing football on display and smashed our fundraising target of £150 by 100%; raising a total of £301. Due to a number of reasons, it was not possible to get the 2015 tournament off the ground before the end of the year. However, we are now back and better than ever.

With a better venue at the Cardiff City House of Sport outdoor 3G pitch, and and increased registration of 8 teams, we're hoping that this event will continue to grow and we can reach and surpass that fundraising target once more.
