On the 23rd April I will be running the London Marathon in memory of my friend Kirsty’s husband (Simon) who in October 2020 was diagnosed with an aggressive form of Lymphoma Cancer at just 41.  He fought hard but, couldn’t beat it and sadly Simon slipped away with Kirsty at his bedside on 28 December 2020.  He also leaves behind 2 lovely children Benjamin now 14 & Isabella 13. 

At Kirsty’s request I will be raising money for (WAY) Widowed and Young who offer a peer-to-peer support network to anyone widowed under the age of 50.

As someone who knows what it is like to lose a loved one and be that young widow with 2 young children, it makes all the difference to know there are people there to listen and help you through those really tough days.
