Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.  We are doing the great Scottish Run to raise awareness and money for research into Lupus. 

Lupus is a chronic autoimmune disease that causes the immune system to attack the body’s own tissue and organs, including the joints, kidneys, heart, lungs, brain, blood and skin. 

For those who know me, I have had Lupus for 12 years, having had some pretty rough patches however now my condition is well controlled, by a new drug being used in Scotland.  So new that I was the first Scottish patient to try this.  As I am feeling well I set myself the challenge of running the 10K along with the support of

Yvonne McGregor , who is doing the 1/2 marathon (show off!!!) 

Mary-Claire Smith, Nicola Smith, Vicky Hamilton &  Tracy McGuckin, who will be doing the 10K with me.

Nicola Smith also had a page donating to Lupus UK.  William Hills generously double donations to employees fundraisings however it must solely be in her name, so feel free to donate via her page as more will be raised and we will not take offence!! ;o)
