Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Besides helping the high school in a rural and deprived community, by sending books, computers, educational materials, clothes, amongst other goods; SIKAT also tries to respond to emergency appeals such as the recent typhoons that hit the Philippine's shores...

After fundraising time and time again for big and well established charities I realised that sometimes you achieve more by helping those less visible.  SIKAT has no paid employees, all is done by the Trustees and Volunteers, one of which  a good friend of mine who showed me how every £1 donated helped transform a bamboo hut into a bricks and mortar school. I will really appreciate if you could contribute  towards my fundraising effort!

And I am thrilled to let you know that a family Trust - The Calleva Foundation will match the amount raised up to £4000 (half of the amount needed to build a proper assembly hall).
