Story
Marie had turned 40 in January 2017.
She is the much loved and missed Mother of Harry, Partner of Paul & Sister of Christine.
On the morning of 22nd of April 2017 Marie suffered a brain haemorrhage whilst taking Harry to a table sale at his cousin's school.. Marie was taken by ambulance to the Princess Royal Hospital at Farnborough. Tragically the haemorrhage was mis-diagnosed as a stroke and was treated with 'clot-busting' medication. This exacerbated the bleed, having an extremely detrimental effect on Maries condition. Marie was subsequently transfered to Kings College Hospital on the evening of the 22nd. Over the course of the next week Marie was diagnosed as suffering from 'Locked-in Syndrome'. We believe that Marie was fully conscious and aware but was unable to move or communicate in any way other than vertical eye movement. Marie remained in the critical care unit with 1:1 care until the 15th of May when she was moved to another ward. Marie was checked by staff at 9:00 on the 16th of May, when staff next entered her room at 10:00 she was found in a very poor condition. Marie was unable to recover and passed away at 21:30.
