Story
The plan
Cycle 125 miles to Portsmouth finishing at HMS VICTORY on 1st of July 2017 with my friend Mat Fuller.
As most of my friends know, I am a cyclist. So I hear you say "that's not a challenge". Most of you may not know that I normally ride off road and haven't done any large road rides covering this distance, so this will be a challenge!!!
The reasons
My Bother -in-law Richard Sumner died in November 2007 of a Sarcoma Cancer aged just 26. This year is the tenth anniversary of the loss of Richard. It seems quite a fitting time to do this bike ride to raise as much money as possible.
Sarcoma is a rare Cancer and many cases go unrecognised for too long, like Richard's.
Funds raised for Sarcoma UK go towards raising awareness, latest research, trials and better patient support.
I would also like to mention work colleagues Tony beard ,Sonia Vaughan and Anita Collins, all lost to cancer recently.
So dig deep and send a message
with your money xxx.
