The Mulberry Centre provides practical and emotional support for anyone with a diagnosis of cancer, their friends and their families. They also support anyone who has lost someone they care about to cancer.
They offer a place for anyone affected by cancer to:
talk in confidence.
relax and recharge.
access information.
find support from others.
All their services are offered free of charge and there are no age or postcode boundaries. The money that you donated really makes a difference to people affected by cancer.
The Mulberry Centre currently has more than 1800 people registered to use its services and it costs £360,000 a year to run. Just so you have an idea of how much this money means, there is a sample list of how they may use money that is donated to them:
*£10.00 will help towards providing guidance to someone who may be experiencing financial worries.
*£15 could help run a support group so that people are able to talk to others going through the same journey.
*£50 could help towards providing counselling sessions for someone undergoing chemotherapy.
Thanks and wish us luck with the swim.
