Story
Thank you for visiting my page.
I am lucky enough to have secured a place in both the London Marathon (2nd October 2022) and the Great North Run (11th September 2022) later this year.
I have been running a few years now and this will be my second marathon and am honoured to take this opportunity to celebrate the life of Mark Doades. Mark passed away in May 2021 at the age of 54 after being diagnosed with Leiomyosarcoma leaving behind a loving family and many friends.
The passing of Mark has affected, and will continue to affect many lives and families. I have known Mark for my entire life and would call him family. I have so many memories of happy times spent with Mark throughout my life since the day I was born. I will continue to remember the joy, laughter and positivity he brought to every occasion and am pleased to be able to run the London Marathon to raise money in his memory for Sarcoma UK.
Sarcoma UK is a national charity that funds vital research, offers support for anyone affected by sarcoma cancer and campaigns for better treatments. Sarcoma is a type of cancer that develops in the bone and soft tissue. It is difficult to diagnose and one of the hardest to treat. By supporting me, we can help change this. Your donation will help researchers find answers, keep the specialist Support Line open, and raise awareness to improve treatment and standards of care. Your donations go so far in helping the sarcoma community: £1 Could cover the cost of 10 texts to the support line. £10 Could be used to buy microscope slides to look at cells in minute detail. £30 Could fund one hour of use of a high-powered laboratory microscope. £150 Could fund the support line for a week.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my page and to read my story. Thank you so much for any donations they are all really appreciated. All donations will add up and together we can help individuals and families fight against Sarcoma.
❤️❤️❤️
