We currently support families from across the South Coast when their children have been diagnosed with cancer and treated at UHS. We offer families financial grants, practical support and funds to make cherished family memories.
Abby's Heroes also provide the Piam Brown ward with 2 evening meals and a lunch every week, as well as topping up the emergency snack box on the ward. Every single family is handed a welfare pack at the beginning of their time on the ward, which has vouchers for the food outlets within the hospital as there is no provision for food for parents whilst on the ward. The packs also includes car parking vouchers. We also fund a Clinical Psychologist for the Siblings and our projectsfor the coming year will be to fund a play therapist and a family support worker for the ward.
