On Sunday the 9th May I shall be running (or more probably walking a bit quick whilst coughing) 10km around Beverley. To ensure that the irreversible damage I shall no doubt do to my body is not in vain, I have decided to take the opportunity to also raise some money for charity

I have chosen to make a donation to the Dove House Hospice because they did a great job of caring for my Nan, Edith Morrod, in the few months before she passed away in 2006. Hopefully the £4.25 I raise will be a great help to all who work there!

I should also add that I have never ran anywhere near 10km before in my life, so no refunds will be given if I collapse before reaching the finish line!
