Story

The Oscar Foundation was launched in March 2010 in memory of Oscar Tuffield. The aim of the foundation is to provide all the 'extra' services and pieces of equipment for sick children and babies from all over UK and Third World Countries.  From state-of-the-art medical equipment to emergency funding for children that need life saving treatment, every project we aim to fund will hopefully help sick kids better.

The Foundation is commited to having no fees or overhead costs (bar this Just Giving site which is necessary from an administration perspective, fees come from gift aid), any additional costs that arise are funded for by the trustees. This means that all money raised will go in full to where it is needed. Please dig deep to help raise money for a great cause.

A number of events are being organised over the coming months and years. The first of which is the Asics British 10k run on the 11th July in London. So far, 130 people have signed up to run for The Oscar Foundation. The aim is to raise £100k. We are also pleased to announce that BNY Mellon Asset Management, Blackrock, Courtney Havers LLP, Truestone and The Didier Drogba Foundation have agreed to sponsor our run. BNY Mellon Asset Management have also kindly agreed to supply all runners with an Oscar Foundation t-shirt which will proudly display our sponsors logo's. We are also waiting to hear back from a number of other potential sponsors. If you would like to join us on the run please don't hesitate to contact Rachael Tuffield (rachael.tuffield@hotmail.co.uk) who will be able to provide you with details.
