Sense is here to support disabled people from the first weeks of life through all the major milestones of adulthood. Over 70 years, we’ve built extensive knowledge and expertise in supporting disabled people with complex needs, including deafblind people.

Story

I am sight guiding John Churcher (1st Deafblind climber to summit the Eiger) along with assistance from young Jay Owen (an autistic climber from the Eiger Paraclimb) and together we are fundraising for Sense, a national charity that supports people with complex communication needs, including those who are deafblind, to be understood, connected and valued. They are there for every person who faces communication barriers in a world that relies on being able to see and hear well to be connected. Together, we can unlock barriers to communication so no one is isolated, left out or unable to fulfill their potential.
