ATG Challenge - Ireland · 27 March 2022

Our core aim is to provide purposeful activities to individuals in the Causeway Coast and Glens who want to increase their confidence, motivation and self-belief while learning new skills. We focus on supporting people who have special or additional needs, mental health issues, are long-term unemployed or are undertaking community service. We support our clients by teaching them new skills, providing counselling and empowering them with the ability to make a difference in their lives.

In early 2022, I set myself a challenge to increase my fitness and raise funds for Ashes to Gold. I wanted to push myself by trekking the highest peaks in Ireland. My team at ATG were keen to join in and challenge themselves for a great cause too!

Along with our partners (and dogs!) we met monthly at 7am on Sunday mornings to walk together.

Our journey to fitness included treks in:

  • Caranmore
  • The Glens of Antrim
  • Mount Errigal
  • Mountains of Mourne
  • The Sperrin’s
  • Donegal
  • Causeway Coast - Ballintoy to Portballintrae

Our final challenge will be the ascent of Carrauntoohil in Kilarney on Saturday 20th August. I would really appreciate your sponsorship.

Thanks for your donation.
