Dear Colleagues, 

I am participating in the "Timmerman Traverse" this September.  The Presidential Traverse is a classic hike up in the White Mountains of New Hampshire that covers 20+ miles and 9 mountains with more than 8,000 feet of "up."   20 of us are committing to this effort.

Why are we doing this?!  We are hoping to raise at least $1m for Life Science Cares -- an organization that assists vulnerable members of our community.  Help can take many forms -- immediate basics like food and shelter, as well as on-ramps to crucial longer-term benefits such as education and job training.

We want to mobilize the entire life science community in this effort.  Critically, funds we raise can be earmarked to any of the communities where Life Science Cares operates -- Boston, San Francisco, San Diego, and Philadelphia.

I have personally contributed $25,000 and hope to raise an additional $50,000 from my many biotech friends & colleagues.  I very much hope I can count on your support!
