North Coast 500 · 24 July 2023

Over 150,000 of us in the UK have MS. It’s unpredictable and different for everyone. But it doesn’t have to be this way. We’re the MS Society. We understand what life’s like with MS. We're here for you through the highs, lows and everything in between. Together, we are strong enough to stop MS.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My fifteen year old son, Jack and I are going to take on the challenge of riding the North Coast 500 in July to raise money for  Multiple Sclerosis Society. MS is a degenerate disease with no known cure at present, it is imperative that we recognise and support this charity. The MS network does tremendous work helping families with much needed equipment for personal care, and wider support including mental health for families supporting their loved ones in addition to many other supporting structures.

The North Coast 500 is a circular journey starting  and ending in Inverness. What lies in between is 500 miles of some of the toughest climbs in the UK including the Apple Cross Pass. The landscape is unforgiving and barren with many long climbs to test us both. Our aim is to achieve 100 miles per day consecutively for five days to achieve our goal. If you wish to support us with this worthy cause and follow our training plan and our mammoth challenge please donate to our MS page Just Giving Page.

This challenge is dedication for our wider family, my wife and daughter who form our support team, in our support vehicle providing much needed nutrition and encouragement, required for us to complete this journey.

Many thanks, for taking the time to read our story.
