Story
So after a long few years of injuries and ending up having an operation to remove a slipped disc and maybe hitting the 40 mark and mini midlife crisis 😂 I wanted to do something that I could look back on one day and think 'how did I do that' so have decided to run the Race to the Stones, this is a 100 km race over two days. No doubt at all I'm doing the race for me to prove to myself I can do it but didn't want to waste the opportunity to try raise some money for a worthy charity.
PTSD UK is a great charity which helps everyone who has suffered or will suffer one day from post traumatic stress. I have seen so many friends over the years in the Police family suffer from this even if they don't admit it, I'm not saying I have had ptsd but we see so many horrible things everyday it's got to have some effect on us all. For me mine was after a night shift in early 2005 and I'm sure that night will stay with me forever, I coped with help and support of my wife but never thought about asking for help but if I can raise the smallest amount I'm sure it will help someone one day!
So please donate and see me suffer dragging my 40ish old legs around a 100km course..
