Story
The reason for this madness? Last year, the father of one of my closest friends was very nearly killed by a horrible ‘flesh-eating’ infection (Necrotising Fasciitis). Thanks to a last minute operation his life was saved but he had to have a leg amputated. This was obviously an awful time for him and his family. I have since learned that whilst this infection is still relatively rare, when it does strike it often ends in death and instances are on the increase.
I am collecting for the Lee Spark NF foundation which provides support to individuals and families affected by Necrotising Fasciitis. It was formed after the sudden loss of 23 year old Lee Spark in 2000 and has since provided help and assistance to thousands of people affected by the infection. Your donation will go towards supporting families and carers of those affected and to the advancement of the education of the medical profession and the general public.
Thank you very much for your donation, Martin
