The Grand Appeal's Team Skydive 2020 · 1 January 2020 to 31 December 2020 ·
Our Son Alex has been really ill with Meningitis that turned into Encephalitis, he was taken into hospital by ambulance twice, and ended up at the Bristol children’s hospital neurology HDU. Jo and I both thought we were going to lose Alex at one stage.
Update.. for December 1-12-19 Alex is on the mend now, and is slowly moving back into school life, he still has some way to go after his brain infection and becomes fatigued so walking to fast or for too long for is hard.. but he is well on the way to a full recovery.
The Nurses and Doctors at the children’s hospital have been amazing, caring and kind way beyond what we expected, both doctors and nurses coming to see Alex after work, if I can raise some money (by jumping out of a perfectly good aeroplane) as my way of saying thanks, then I should, if this buys some equipment to help other families or to help the nurses and doctors keep doing their Fantastic job, then I will have succeeded.
If you want to help, that would be cool , our friends, family, cubs, scouts and workmates have been amazing, we’re so lucky to have them all,!!!
Thanks , Martin, Jo, Drew, Charlotte and Alex..
