Highland Cross is a 50 mile duathlon (walking or running 20 miles and cycling 30 miles) across Scotland from Kintail to Beauly. The event is organised by volunteers to raise funds for charities across the Highlands. Since 1983, over £6.3m has been raised and distributed in full to deserving causes.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page which for some  of you is an annual visit.

This is my 10th Cross in a row and donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure and more importantly saves me bugging you for cash!

I did my first Cross on my 30th birthday to fill a space as a favour and became hooked on everything about the event.

Now having completed it 9 times, I get to see the same faces, have the same conversations before during and after the event and wouldn't change it.

I have suffered the weather, injury, punctures and just sheer exhaustion sometimes openly stating, "Never again" however every year I meet the bus outside Inverness Cathedral and I'm off again.

So please consider offering a donation as I genuinely appreciate it
