Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.

Story

Hello, I’m Martin Pickard. i was diagnosed with Parkinson’s 2020 and forced to retire. I now spend my time writing poetry, playing ping pong, drawing, and using what voice I have left to advocate for our community’s needs.

If you’ve enjoyed my poetry, read my book, seen me perform, or if you’ve made use of my FM Mindmap or any of the other FMGuru resources, this is the place to show your thanks.

The Parkinson’s UK’s Nurse Appeal aims to raise £9 million to recruit 25 new Parkinson’s nurses and 30 allied health professionals so more people can access the right care at the right time. With just £36, you could fund one hour of specialist nursing care—care that 30,000 people are currently lacking right here in the UK.

Let’s enable people with Parkinson’s to not just survive—but to thrive.
